Well, speaking for one Farmer they are starting up their greenhouse’s, filling flats with potting soil and planting those little seeds that will become the plants that bare the fruit you so Love. Those delicious Tomatoes that are offered for sale in July start their lives now in March. It takes a lot of care to transform a seed into a Tomato. You plant them in some fertile potting soil, water them just right, keep them warm, and then they do their magic, sprouting out of the soil,spreading their leaves and grow,grow,grow. And this is just the first step of raising them in the greenhouse until they are ready to transplant.
